Self Defence: Defending against a rear hair grab

To break free from an attacker’s grip, begin by turning anti-clockwise to face him directly. Use pointed fingers to strike hard into his armpit—a vulnerable area packed with nerves. This strike can momentarily deaden his arm, weakening his grip on you. Next, follow through with a reverse palm strike aimed at his groin or, alternatively, a reverse hand chop to the side of his neck. Both of these follow-up strikes are powerful enough to disrupt his control, giving you the opening to escape.

Through Zelus Academy’s online Self Defense course, you’ll learn essential techniques like these that prioritize effective and safe responses to threats.
