Hockey: Sprint ahead to score with a forehand run

At Zelus Academy’s online hockey course, we emphasize dynamic drills to enhance players’ agility and ball control. One key exercise is the directional change drill, designed to improve players’ ability to quickly maneuver while dribbling the ball.

To perform this drill, set up four cones 3 meters apart on the ground, forming a square. Begin by executing a forehand run with the ball, turning right around all four cones. Focus on maintaining control and speed while navigating around each cone.

After completing the run to the right, swiftly switch direction and repeat the drill by turning left around all four cones. This challenges players to adapt to changing directions seamlessly while controlling the ball.

Through our online platform, participants access detailed tutorials and demonstrations of this drill, allowing them to practice and refine their directional change skills. Join Zelus Academy’s online hockey course to elevate your agility and ball-handling abilities. Gain expert guidance, comprehensive drills, and personalized training to excel in every aspect of the game. Continue reading
