Hockey: How to dribble the ball with perfect ease

 In Zelus Academy’s online hockey course, we emphasize proper body positioning and technique to enhance players’ ball control skills. One fundamental drill we teach is the diagonal dribbling exercise, designed to improve players’ ability to maneuver the ball effectively while moving forward.

To execute this drill, start by assuming a stable stance with knees slightly bent, legs shoulder-width apart, and body slightly leaning forward. Position the ball in front of you, ensuring the point of contact between the blade and the ground is to the right side of the ball.

Begin by running forward slowly while touching the ball diagonally forward to the left, then to the right. Focus on maintaining control and balance while executing this movement pattern, keeping the ball within reach and under control at all times.
