Keyboard:Understand finger numbers and the seven letters in music

In the online Keyboard course at Zelus Academy, one of the foundational lessons in Keyboard online learning is locating notes and understanding finger placement. To find the A note, first, locate the set of three adjacent black keys on your keyboard. Focus on the middle black key in this group, then move one step to the right and down to the white key—this is your A.

From here, you can play the notes in ascending order: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. These are the basic notes you’ll use to form chords, melodies, and scales. Understanding their positions on the keyboard is crucial for playing any piece of music.

In terms of finger numbers, we count from 1 to 5, starting with the thumb as 1 and progressing to the little finger as 5. Finger positioning is essential for smooth transitions and fluid playing. Practicing with the correct finger numbers will help improve speed, accuracy, and overall keyboard technique.

This approach to learning note identification and finger placement will enhance your skill and confidence as you advance through the online Keyboard course at Zelus AcademyContinue reading
