Keyboard:Learn 15 notes from the middle C

In the online Keyboard course at Zelus Academy, learning proper finger positioning and coordination is key to mastering scales and patterns. Begin with your right hand on the middle C (thumb), and ascend through the notes using the following finger placement: C (thumb), D (index finger), E (middle finger), F (ring finger), and G (little finger). To strengthen muscle memory, practice this same pattern in reverse, from G back down to C.

Now, try a basic finger exercise using your right hand to play the following pattern: C-E-G-E-C (1-3-5-3-1), where your thumb plays C, your middle finger plays E, and your little finger plays G. This helps develop precision and control in playing chords and arpeggios. For balance and coordination, mirror this pattern with your left hand: C-E-G-E-C, using the reverse finger numbering (5-3-1-3-5), where your little finger plays C and your thumb plays G.

This exercise is foundational in Keyboard online learning as it helps build dexterity and control, enabling you to play more complex pieces with ease. Keep practicing regularly in the online Keyboard course to develop these essential skills! Continue reading
