Hockey: Why the reverse hand tackle can be equally effective

At Zelus Academy’s online hockey course, we emphasize mastering defensive techniques like the reverse hand tackle to effectively halt attackers and regain possession. This skill requires precise footwork and stick handling to execute proficiently.

To execute the reverse hand tackle, the player begins by stepping forward with the left foot while simultaneously throwing the stick. Half-rotating it ensures the blade’s tip faces the ground. The player then executes the tackle with the reverse stick before swiftly returning to the starting position. After the tackle, the stick is held in a normal position, having been rotated during the maneuver.

Proficiency in the reverse hand tackle demands coordination, timing, and adaptability. Through comprehensive tutorials and demonstrations on our online platform, participants learn the technique step by step. By practicing under expert guidance, players refine their defensive skills and become adept at thwarting opponent attacks.

Join Zelus Academy’s online hockey course to elevate your defensive prowess and unlock the potential to dominate the field. Learn and perfect essential techniques like the reverse hand tackle to become a formidable force in defense. Continue reading
