Hockey: Why two taps are better than one for elimination skills

In Zelus Academy’s online hockey course, we introduce innovative techniques to outmaneuver defenders and maintain control of the ball effectively. One such technique is the double tap elimination skill, which differs from traditional maneuvers by utilizing two taps on the ball instead of one.

During this maneuver, while running with the ball, the player executes two quick taps to the left to swiftly bypass the defender. Alternatively, the player can perform two taps to the right using the reverse stick.

Mastering the double tap elimination skill requires precise timing, coordination, and agility. Through our online platform, participants access detailed tutorials and demonstrations to learn and practice the technique step by step.

By incorporating this technique into their repertoire, players can surprise defenders with unexpected moves, creating openings for scoring opportunities and maintaining offensive momentum.

Join Zelus Academy’s online hockey course to enhance your skill set and elevate your gameplay. Gain access to expert guidance, comprehensive drills, and personalized training to become a more dynamic and effective player on the field. Continue reading
