Hockey: Catch the opponent off guard with a quick wrong foot pass

At Zelus Academy’s online hockey course, we emphasize the importance of quick and accurate passing to maintain possession and create scoring opportunities on the field. One key aspect we focus on is understanding the footwork involved in executing swift passes.

When needing to pass the ball quickly, the difference lies in the footwork and timing of the pass. While running with the ball, players should make a pass from right to left when their right foot is in front. This ensures proper weight transfer and power behind the pass, facilitating an accurate delivery to the left.

Conversely, for passing from left to right, players should first bring the ball to their right side while running. Then, they should step forward with the right foot again before making the pass. This footwork sequence optimizes the player’s body position and momentum, allowing for a strong and precise pass to the right side of the field.

Through our online platform, participants gain access to detailed tutorials and demonstrations, guiding them through the nuances of footwork and passing techniques. Join Zelus Academy’s online hockey course to refine your skills and become a more dynamic and effective player on the field. Gain expert guidance, comprehensive drills, and personalized training to excel in every aspect of the game. Continue reading
