There are many movies that portray the true essence of what it means to groove, but nothing beats the mighty Whiplash, a movie that celebrates the complex relationship between a student and his music instructor. As the entire movie revolves around playing on time, or in other words “Grooving”, there is a lot to get inspired from, especially the Caravan solo performance at the end.
Groove is not an action, but a quality you possess. To explore this very nature of your being, it is important to completely break free and let the drums do the talking. With the right mindset and consistent practise, grooving to your own beat becomes effortless and beautiful at the same time.
